ChildPsych Services

Dr. Victor G. Grosu

I am board-certified in both Adult and Child and Adolescent psychiatry having completed specialized training at the North Shore Long Island Jewish School of Medicine. Prior to specializing in Child and Adolescent psychiatry, I received training in Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine which allows me to formulate a more comprehensive understanding of my client’s mental and physical treatment needs.

I have been practicing psychiatry for over 15 years and I am honored to have been recognized by the NJ Top Doctor magazine as a Top Psychiatrist in 2019.

I regularly treat a variety of mental conditions, including but not limited to: Anger Management, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar, Depression, OCD, PTSD, Phobias, Panic Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder.

While being treated at my practice, your child will be monitored closely so they do not experience side effects and optimal treatment gains are obtained. During treatment, careful attention will be provided to any physical illnesses which often leads to a more appropriate diagnosis and plan of treatment. Only one medication will be changed at a time, and medications will be tapered slowly to minimize any discomfort. You and your child will be fully educated on risks and benefits of all medications considered and your child will receive the lowest dose required to achieve desired results. All medications will be discontinued, when appropriate
